This e-learning session replaces the live PACT Level I Workshop provided to health care professionals in Saskatchewan. E-PACT consists of four learning modules and a quiz. If you are new to the PACT website you will be asked to register before you are provided access to the online modules. If you are already a PACT professional you will be prompted to log in using your email address and password. Upon completion of the modules and receiving 80% or higher on the quiz, you will be able to print out your PACT certificate and will be added to the PACT database. ( You may take the quiz as many times as required, however after three unsuccessful attempts, you will need to request a reset to take the quiz again)
PACT binder materials are provided free of charge in PDF format to new registrants, and can also be found in the PACT Library. Hard copies of the binders can be ordered at a cost through the PACT store. Please phone, or email Janice at 306-586-1700 or janice.burgess@skpharmacists.ca if you have any questions or concerns, or to place an order.
Specialty modules are being created and will be posted soon, and include the following:
- Cessation in Mental Health
- Pharmacy Module
- Nursing Module
- Dental Professional Module
- Oncology Module
- Cardiovascular Module
This e-learning session provides efficient and effective techniques and tools that can be used to guide a brief tobacco cessation intervention with every patient you encounter. Many health care professionals only have a few minutes to make an impact, but realize how important those few minutes can be. This one hour session provides important information about tobacco use trends, nicotine and its affect on the body, pharmacotherapy, assessing the patient's readiness to change, and providing brief advice to quit.3
3. Bronze and Bronze Plus for Pharmacists
This e-learning session is a refresher course for PACT pharmacists. This one hour session is an excellent review of information provided in the PACT live workshops including how to provide a Bronze and Bronze Plus intervention, or brief intervention with every patient we encounter.
This pharmacist-specific e-learning session is accredited for 5 CEU's, and replaces the live PACT workshops provided provincially since 2009. (e-PACT is $150.00 plus GST, Refund Policy: No refunds or exchanges. Customer Service Contact Info: Phone - 306-586-1700)
5. Tabacco Addiction Recovery (TAR) Presentation (28 minutes)
This video provides information about the TAR program and the Journey of the White Ribbon, designed specifically for use in Aboriginal communities.
Approved for 0.5 CEU's, this webex provides PACT pharmacists with Saskatchewan-specific details about implementation of the program, the different service levels, and how to bill for services provided.
All sessions are free to authorized subscribers, except for e-PACT for pharmacists (price listed above)
